Urban Age

Urban Age is a series of conferences organized by the Alfred Herrhausen Society in collaboration with the “Cities Programme” of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in order to generate discussions of the implications of global urban development among all of the responsible parties from the spheres of politics, planning, economics and civil society.

Initiated by the Cities Programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Deutsche Bank’s Alfred Herrhausen Society, Urban Age is structured around international and multidisciplinary events and research supporting the creation of a new urban agenda for global cities. The Urban Age agenda links the physical to the economic, environmental and social, providing urbanists with the tools to apply, tailor and refine innovation. Urban Age’s principal aim is to shape the thinking and practice of urban leaders and sustainable urban development. ARCH+ cooperates with Urban Age India 2007, Urban Age South America 2008, and Urban Age Istanbul 2009. For more information see also ARCH+ project site on Urban Age.
