Tempelhofer Feld is one of Europe’s most distinctive urban open spaces. Its vast expanse at the heart of the city, its layered history, and its intense everyday use shape public perception, as does its significance for Berlin’s urban climate and ecology. At the same time, the more than 350-hectare site has become a prominent arena of urban political dispute.
