Urban Nature

Urban nature is not the opposite of the city, nor a green corrective to its deficiencies. It names the condition in which urban societies live today. This perspective overcomes the long-standing dichotomy between city and nature that turned nature into scenery and the city into a technical apparatus. It compels us to rethink the city as an ecologically saturated, conflictual, and profoundly political space.
